To the east,
\n<\/span>To India,
\n<\/span>To the holy city of Benares,
\n<\/span>Where we will sit under Bo trees
\n<\/span>In search of enlightenment,
\n<\/span>In quest of nirvana.<\/span><\/p>\n

To the east,
\n<\/span>To the holy river of the Ganges,
\n<\/span>Where we will immerse our bodies
\n<\/span>And cleanse our minds.<\/span><\/p>\n

To the east,
\n<\/span>Where Abraham\u2019s gifts of insight and introspection
\n<\/span>Will allow us to be Brahmins, to meditate
\n<\/span>And purify our souls,
\n<\/span>Ascend above the Chariot\u2019s wheels,
\n<\/span>Gaze into the mirror\u2019s sheen,
\n<\/span>Uncover wells in the orchard\u2019s shade,
\n<\/span>Smell cinnamon and nard on the mountains of spices,
\n<\/span>Hear the ice melt,
\n<\/span>Touch the lions\u2019 wings
\n<\/span>And cling to the Brahma, the Soul
\n<\/span>Of all worlds.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this reincarnation
\n<\/span>We were not worthy
\n<\/span>To dwell within Abraham\u2019s tent;
\n<\/span>But in the east,
\n<\/span>May we walk the path of dharma
\n<\/span>And merit rebirth and return
\n<\/span>To the House of Isaac, our brother.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the east,
\n<\/span>May the feathers of compassion
\n<\/span>Be our feathers,
\n<\/span>May the nest of renunciation
\n<\/span>Be our nest.
\n<\/span>May the flight of the wind,<\/span><\/p>\n

The spark inside the ember,
\n<\/span>The echo within the cave,<\/span><\/p>\n

Be ours.<\/span><\/p>\n

To the east.
\n<\/span>This, our mantra,
\n<\/span>Our karma,
\n<\/span>Our fate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Open the gate
\n<\/span>To the east.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shanti.
\n<\/span>Peace.
