In this chapter <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. The Lord then said to Cain, \u201cWhere is your brother Abel?\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d he replied. \u201cAm I my brother\u2019s keeper?\u201d By avoiding facing God and telling Him the truth of their sins, both Adam and Cain failed to take responsibility for their actions.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the first Lubavitcher Rebbe, pointed out that these calls to Cain and Adam were not directed solely to them but echo in every generation. He is constantly calling to us and pleading that we confront our actions, that we take responsibility for them.
