And not just men, but also women; they, too, are part of this \u201c<em>adam<\/em>.\u201d \u201cMale and female He created them.\u201d \u00a0Absolute gender equality. Men don\u2019t abuse and take advantage of women. Whites don\u2019t enslave Blacks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The history of humanity as we know it from the time of the creation of the world until the present day recounts a reality that is completely different, a reality so distant from this magnificent verse. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The philosopher Abraham Joshua Heschel, who escaped to America from the horrors of the Holocaust and fought together with Martin Luther King, Jr in the Civil Rights Movement, taught the fundamental importance of our verse. \u00a0At the 1963 Conference on Religion and Race, Heschel said: \u201cGod is every man\u2019s pedigree. He is either the Father of all men or of no man. The image of God is either in every man or in no man\u2026. You cannot worship God and at the same time look at man as if he were a horse.\u2026.What is an idol? Any god who is mine but not yours, any god concerned with me but not with you, is an
